He received his doctoral degree in engineering from the Department of Control Engineering at the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1997.
His research interests are medical robotics and man-machine systems based on precise measurement control of compressible fluids.
He has been involved in research and development of surgical robots for more than 16 years with surgical faculty members at Tokyo Medical and Dental University.
In 2012, his proposal to develop a pneumatically-driven surgical robot was accepted by the Program for Creating Start-ups from Advanced Research and Technology (START Program) by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Japan.
He started a venture from Tokyo Institute of Technology and Tokyo Medical and Dental University in 2014.
- 2007: Completed the latter doctoral course, Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology.
- 2013: Associate professor, Tokyo Institute of Technology Specialized in robotics and control engineering and engaged in R&D of surgical robot, man-machine system, and pneumatic system.
- 2014: Founded the Company and joined as a founding member.
- 2018: Assumed the office of CTO to lead development operation.
- 2020: Assumed the office of CEO.
